There is nothing better for skinning catfish. The cutting blades on the sides makes it easy to cut then skin without a knife.

Not sharp enough

I have owned Jackson skinners with the cutters for 20 years. New ones are getting harder to find. I ordered 3 from you just recently. Used one of the new ones last week and was very disappointed. The cutters were so dull they would not slice through the skin. Actually, you had to pull so hard it created a dangerous situation, so I put down the cutters and started using a knife. Need to figure out a way to sharpen the cutters myself

These are the best skinners on the market. The side cutters allows you to cut and skin a catfish without touching you knife. I always order extras because when people watch me use these , they want to buy a pair. Try a pair, you will not be disappointed.

The Best SkinningPpliers.

I owned a set of these pliers for years and misplaced them. I bought a set by a different manufacturer and hand grips were not very good and the catfish skin would slip a lot. I purchased 3 sets this time to ensure I had them accessible wherever I clean fish. The cutters save a lot of time and handling when used to make initial cuts. These are the best I have ever used.
