There are fancier knives, with manicured steel, and handles that look like art objects that do EXACTLY the same thing..... cut. But the DR series, kitchen safe, sani safe, or what-ever you want to call them, is the workhorse that gets the job done. Drop it on the floor, wash it off, tend to the blade and you are back in business. These knives ride with me on my boat, they are in my tackle box, truck, in my kitchen, and one or two can be found in my barn. I have spent a fortune on knives in 69 years, and the DR series probably has been in my hand more than any other combined, times ten!
