Nylon Shad Scoop

Made of knotless nylon netting with a galvanized steel hoop rigged with 4 ft brail lines and a 35 ft. tow line.
Scoop up Shad for bait. Towing and fishing instructions included.

Operate the boat at slow speeds in large circles to keep the net from pulling directly behind the boat. A 4 or 5 lb. cannon ball sinker may be attached to the lip of the scoop to make it pull deeper in the water.

nice net

Very satisfied with this purchase. Only used this net four times but has worked very well every time, and appears quite durable. The only suggested improvement I can think of would be to make the hoop collapsible in half to improve storage in a smaller boat, although that might be impractical.

First one ok second one missing

I ordered a 36 inch hoop net. It looked bigger than I imagined so I measured the diameter. It was 36 and a half probably because the hoop doesn't hold it's exact shape. Fish and game in California can be real knit picky with 36 inches being the max diameter so I'm afraid to use it. So l've ordered a 2 and a half foot hoop net. Order # 126626 but I have yet to receive it and it been 3 times longer so far than the first hoop net I ordered.

The net was fine but the leads and towline are way too small had to drag to find my net after the towline snapped

The Shad Ner
Sep 17, 2022  |  By Bob D. Allen
I liked it but I have some subjections, let me start off with the fact that most lakes that I fish in, the shad are close to the shore. I found that having a net that mostly hit the bottom was going to be a problem mostly because of branches and weeds. I think that making a rectangular net with a float on the top to keep it from going to the bottom would be a great improvement. Just my observation Bob D. Allen
